Sifu Kai Dix visited GM Andreas Hoffmann at the Weng Chun HQ to train and
to discuss how he can prepare himself and his school to become an official
member of the weng chun family. He is a professional "black belt"
teacher of Wing Tsun, Capoeire, Jiu Jitsu and Judo in Gera, Germany. Now
he is learning weng chun kung fu taught by Sifu Peter Fischer and GM Andreas
Hoffmann personally. He follows the footsteps of his former Wing Tsun master,
Sifu Misha who is part of the weng chun family for 2 years, now.

Chun family started in Toronto, Canada: My student Peter Assentoft´s
dream came true: to introduce Weng Chun in Canada. The first training session
he started by introducing Weng Chun and talking about our History. Then
he taught the first wto sections of Sap Yat Kuen. After that he explained
different ranges, heights and lines in Weng Chun.Following by training of
the ancles from Heaven and Man distance.
May 2011: new weng chun instructors spreading our art. Weng Chun
students from 5 countries finalized their goal to become a weng chun instructor
and to help GM Andreas Hoffmann to fullfill his mission from late GM Wai

Over
50 people from all over europe followed their Weng Chun Grandmaster Andreas
Hoffmann to Limburg, Germany to learn finer points of Weng Chun Sanda fighting.
German and International Sanda Champion Sven Morgenroth assisted his Sifu
and weng chun competition champions Ismail Göksu, Sebastian Mehler,
Michael Beck and Master Ulli Sohmer take part at this special event. A big
thank you to Sifu Michael Berger who hosted the seminar. Everybody felt
home and heartly welcome.
Last Weng Chun seminar 2010 in Stuttgart, Germany

Our talented instructor from denmark Brian organized a wonderful seminar
in Helsingör. Supported by our long time weng chun instructors Sören,

of Holger Danske many weng chun practitioner from germany followed their
grandmaster to learn special applications of the weng chun fa kuen form.

Wolfgang Jährling studied Wing Tsun, Jiu Jitsu and many other martial
arts and finally found weng chun kung fu. He made the base level instructor
under GM Andreas Hoffmann and get supervised by Sifu Michael Berger. Officially
he got member of the International Weng Chun Association GM Hoffmann in
September 2010. He hosted a seminar with the Grandmaster. Invited were only
close friends, close students and his family. GM Hoffmann teached combat
application, sanda and Weng Chun´s greeting. We are grateful to the
whole Jährling family for their great hospitality and we are very happy

Weng Chun Grandmaster
made pilgrim at Northern Shaolin temple:
GM Hoffmann met warrior monks from the shaolin temple who guide him to see
the historical artefacts at the temple and to meet Chan GM Yüen. GM
Yüen teached him how to bless malas according northern shaolin tradition.
Our Grandmaster makes wishes for our weng chun family in the hall of Kimnaro
and in the hall of Guan Yin. Finally he travelled alone to the cave and
temple of Bodhidharma for meditation and weng chun training. He collected
earth from different holy Shaolin places for our schools worldwide. In his
historical research he got many insights from the warrior monks which point
to the fact that weng chun´s principles were established already in
the northern shaolin temple and later brought to the southern temple. Grandmaster
told us that he felt home at the northern temple: the mountains, the temple,
chan and kungfu is one.. . Also he is very grateful to the warrior monks
for their support, especially to GM Shi De Cheng

Andreas
Hoffmann is the "International Grandmaster of the Year 2010" Hall
of Fame, Valencia in spain. The world´s biggest magazine for martial
arts, in cooperation with the ISMA, the World Union of Grandmasters and
the International Confedaration of police and security arranged the 10th
worldwide Martial Arts Hall of Fame in Valencia, spain, from the 22nd to
24th of october 2010. More than hundred participants from all over the world
were nominated for the awards.
Andreas Hoffmann introduced Weng Chun Kung Fu to more than 15 countries
and supervises them from his headquarter in Bamberg. He also wrote books
and articles about Weng Chun Kung Fu. He gave the knowledge of this old
chinese martial arts to the next generation, so it can survive. Andreas
Hoffmann was very glad to achieve this acknowledgement of his work and dedicated
his award to his dead chinese teacher GM Wai Yan, who was the last grandmaster
of this martial arts in Hong Kong, china and he also dedicated it to his
hard working teachers all over the world who teach Weng Chun. Sifu Maria
Grothe student of Andreas Hoffmann achieved the award "Female Sifu
2010" for her work, spreading the Weng Chun Kung Fu at the baltic states.
Unexpectedly Andreas Hoffmann was also appointed to be the next german representive
of the coming Hall of Fames and so he will help to nominate the next prize-winners.

was organized fantastically.

Denmark: Sifu Henrik hosted seminars with his Sifu GM Andreas Hoffmann:
July 2nd-July 5th, 2010
The seminar was covering Saam Pai Fat ( Three Bows to Buddha) .According
to the Lo family, Saam Pai Fat is the advanced Weng Chun set of Sun Gam
(Dai Fa Min Gam) of the Red Boat Opera. Like its matching set, Weng Chun
Kuen (Sap Yat Kuen), Saam Pai Fat consists of eleven sections.GM
Andreas explained and demonstrated h...is way of working the form, focusing
on expanding the ability of the Weng Chun Kuen practitioner to cover all
of space and time through the concept of bowing to Heaven, Earth, and Man.
GM was happy
to be in Denmark, as the Butcher´s Lab reminds him of Dai Duk Lan,
the old school of GM Wai Yan, which was located in a Hong Kong shopping
area filed with meat, vegetables etc.The
students started out by training the form. For each section GM explained
the deeper meaning of the movements and ideas behind the form. He got deep
into the finer points of each movement, with smooth elegance and power.
The students then worked hard with some of the applications of the individual
sections.Sunday
morning Sifu Henrik and Simon Jørgensen started together with GM
doing 60 buddist sufferings - a nice morning exercise to start the day.
At the end of
the seminar, GM tested Sihing Jurij Borakovskij and Daniel Reinart for the
6th level - they did a great job and are now stepping in to the advanced
level and getting closer to the black belt. Karsten Sorensen, a black belt
in Aikido did his 2nd base level test and also he did a great job.Congratulations

Henrik and Sihing Søren did many hours of private lessons with GM
and they felt the true power of this wonderful art. 8 hours of free sparring
with GM you can feel in your body for days.The
night before GM left, he granted Sifu Henrik his 9th level, which means
that his journey as a base-, mid- and advanced student will be coming to
an end with next graduation. Thank you for a fantastic time in Denmark.

grappling tournament 19 June 2010.
30+ No Gi Intermediate Absolute: 1st Place won by advantage point. He had
7 fights. He was very happy that he could use his special half guard techniques,
which he learned for this event from Andreas Hoffmann. Congratulation for

Great success for German Weng Chun team at 13 th International Open Championship
in Traditional Kung Fu
10 th of April, 2010, brought again the renowned Championship in Traditional
Kung Fu in Gevelsberg with its challenging full contact free fighting competitions.
A formidable team of Weng Chun fighters rose to the challenge and we are
very happy and proud to announce the impressive result of 6 gold medals,
3 silver medals and 1 bronze medal!
Our successful competitiors were: Gold medalists: Christopher Then (Schweinfur),
Max Richter (Stuttgart), Frank Hösch (Bamberg), Sven Morgenroth (Bamberg),
Ismael Göksu (Coburg), Katrine Wind (Denmark). Silver won: Kadri Carikci
(Bamberg), Joshua Bodirsky (Coburg), Sebastian Mehler (Stuttgart). Sifu
Henrik Sprechler from Denmark finished third. We congratulate all our fighters
not only on their successes, but even more on their courage and the discipline
the hard preparation for these fights took. These victories show what can
be achieved when one of the best fighting systems, Weng Chun, and some of
the best coaches meet with dedicated students.

Chun knives seminar with GM Andreas Hoffmann März 2010
Sifu Alexander Kapischke host a knives seminar with the Grandmaster in his
new school in Waiblingen, Germany. GM Hoffmann presented his friend and
student for over 20 years a handwritten weng chun book from GGM Wai Yan.
From all parts of Germany the weng chun friends attendet the seminar about
the Lo family weng chun knives. First the students learned the basics, the
6 1/2 principles in form and applications. At the end of the seminar the
Grandmaster told many stories about his personal experience with the weng
chun legends like GGM Wai Yan, GM Lau Chi Long, GGM Pak Cheung, GGM Pang
Nam, GGM Lam Wun Gong and about the weng chun "mecca" Dai Duk
Lan, which he was the last student. The biggest newspaper from stuttgart
made an article about this event.

A long journey for hard work
At the weekend from 2010-02-27. to 2010-02-28.Wing Tsun Sifu Wladimir Seç and his students Martin and Marian took the long journey from Bratislava to Germany to learn the Luk-Dim-Boon-Kuen in private lesons taught by Sifu Maria Grothe who was assisted by Robert Kosir. It was fascinating how fast the little group learned the whole Luk-Dim-Boon-Kuen and it´s applications. Furthermore they also learned to apply the 6 ½ principles in Chi Sao. So the weekend was full of hard work to do but there was also a lot of philosophy and fun. Sifu Maria Grothe is full of hope that now the seed is planted that Weng Chun might grow in Slovakia. We are grateful to Wing Tsun pioneer Zelyko Popovic from Serbia who is helping to bring weng chun to many country and he is also the Sifu of Sifu Sec.

On August 31st Francesco Fonte opened his academy with the first training.

Chun H.Q. Bamberg, Germany and the end will be on sunday 2 p.m. Grandmaster
Andreas Hoffmann is coming directly from his China trip with the Ving Tsun
Museum USA.

We welcome Wing Tsun Sifu Misha Berlijn from Helmond, Netherland into the
Weng Chun family
Sifu Misha Berlijn is one of the wing tsun pioneers of netherland with
about over 20 years into the martial arts. Now, after a long time having
contact to the weng chun family he decided to dedicate his learning into
weng chun kung fu and became for one month ago private student of Grandmaster
Andreas Hoffmann personally. His wish is to help the weng chun family with
the pioneer work in europe and especially in netherland to support country
representative Master Cesario Di Domenico and his team.
Nicolas Penzer from Stuttgart two times MMA-victory!
On April 30th and Mai 30th 2009 only 20year old fighter Nicolas Penzer from
Weng Chun Kung Fu and Behring Jiu-Jitsu Stuttgart fought two MMA fights
in the cage. The first fight took place at Aggrelin Munich, the second at
Proton Stuttgart. Both opponents were experienced stand up fighters from
well known thai box gyms. In his first fight, Nico hit a hard right hand
to his opponents face but he could throw Nico, who turned around into the
open guard, swept his opponent and finished the fight after only 56 seconds
by Mata Leon! Only four weeks later, Nico started his next fight in the
cage with a series of hard punches followed by strong knee kicks, before
he took the fight to the ground, established first the side then the mounted
position. But his opponent held Nico's arm really tight, swept him but forgot,
that Nico was also holding his arm - he immediately used the grip to turn
into a straight arm bar and his opponent had to tap out after only 1 min
and 55 seconds!
With these two victories Nicolas Penzer from Stuttgart has established himself
as one of the top young MMA-fighters in Germany!

Family Dincer opened the new school in Hannover, germany with a big demonstration.
Around 150 spectators were inspirated by the demonstrations. Grand Master

Dincer recieved the flag of the International Weng Chun Kung Fu Association
by his Sifu. German and turkish newspaper were present at the event.

Bamberg 31 jan 2009
A great
weekend was spent in Bamberg where Sifu Cesario Di Domenico, Rittirong Konggann,
Matthias Cebula and Harald Gries completed there final mastership exams.
Sifus: Cesario Di Domenico, Rittirong Konggann, Matthias Cebula and Harald
Gries had to show a thorough understanding of chi sau, kiu sau and forms.
A public demonsration followed where the Sifus energised the audience with
form displays and with their own project presentations that will provide
inspiration and build bridges throughout the world.
All four
new masters where supported by their respective students, those supporting
our Sifu included Sihing Bas Spaargaren and Jason from Den Haag, and Sihing
Julian Hancock from Amsterdam. Everyone attending could enjoy a fantastic
Chong Kuen form performed for the demonstration, by Sifu-Master Cesario
Di Domenico and the two days seminar of Grand Master Andreas Hoffmann on
the flow of (wu)Te' and special uprooting and throwing concepts.
Congratulatuions
to all the Sifus for passing their demanding tests and for having shown
so much committment to the art of Weng Chun, and thank you very much to
Grand master Andreas Hoffmann for hosting two days of wonderful seminars
and within the new Weng Chun Masters for inspiring all of us to new heights

In Denmark the weng chun schools are growing fast. Thru the hard work of
country representative Sifu Henrik Sprechler and his instructor team. Weng
Chun instructor Brian Berggren was portrayed in the dänish media. Weng
Chun Master Thomas Reichelt will support the denmark branch with a seminar
in March 2009 and the Grandmaster will come to Denmark in June 2009.

you follow the hard way to weng chun mastership it takes about 10 years
of intensive training and learning. Rittirong Konggann, Mario Köhler,
Harald Gries andCesario Di Domenico did it and they finish with the first
weng chun master degree at the weekend January 31st and February 1st 2009.
At the weekend they will also publish their master work and they make demonstrations.
At the evening we will celebrate our new masters. Weng Chun friends are

Andreas Hoffmann is invited for many seminars around europe. The first seminar
starts in Springe/Hanover, Germany January 24/25th with public seminars,

January 31st/February 1st 2009 about the 18 Kiu Sao in Weng Chun chisao

december 2008: Our Grandmaster dedicated his last seminar of the year
2008 for the weng chun instructors, sifus and masters.
Topics were the 18 Kiu Sao, !0 Wisdom and hours of free sparring with the
Grandmaster personally.

It is always a special event when Weng Chun comes the first time into a
new country. Wing Tsun Sifu Henrik from Malmö, Sweden hosted this historic
event with Grandmaster Andreas Hoffmann, assisted by Sifu Henrik from Denmark
and Sige Maria from Germany. From all over europe weng chun friends supported
the birth of weng chun in sweden. The seed is planted and the weng chun
flower will grow in Sweden under the guidance of Sifu Henrik from Sweden,
Sifu Henrik from Denmark and the weng chun Grandmaster Andreas Hoffmann.

Saturday 22.11.2008After
a quite uncomfortable night we drove to Malmö which is only about 40
minutes away from Copenhagen by car. We were all pretty curious about how
the Wing Chun people whould react to a very different and new martial art.
At first sight the school made a really pleasant impression and all the
people in the kitchen talking and drinking tee spread an easy and friendly
atmosphere. It was very pleasing to see so many people from Weng Chun schools
in Denmark and England that had come to support Sigung with his very first
seminar held in Sveden. After Sifu Henrik from Sveden had welcomed Sigung
and all of us Sigung startet the seminar with an explenation about the common
or similar things in our styles that you can find throughout our history,
the philosophy and our movements. He mentioned places that hat been of great
importance to both styles for example the red boat or Fatshan. We started
the pratical part of the seminar with the first section of Sap Yat Kuen
which Sigung used to explain differences in the styles. He mentioned the
dragon riding stance, the hole body movement with a special use of our hip
that allows for Lau and Ying and Yang to be expressed. Sigung also talked
about our different fighting stances and their meaning as well as our footwork.
As soon as we had finished with this part we started with one hand Chi Sao.
Sigung animated our new friends to use all the space available in the training
room to try "pushing and pulling" while using big steps in order
to get a better feeling of "Lau". Sigung complemented our new
friends from Sveden on their quiet noticable ease with which they realized
the exercices shown to them. Many of the Wing Chun people from Malmö
also train Pagua, Sinhi and Tai Chi which explains their abilities in flowing.
Among the many things our Grandmaster taught us was the explanation of heaven,
man and earth as concepts for distance and height and also the meaning of
connecting the parts of your body but also the separation (The Rocket),
a precondition for Weng Chun. The more advanced practitioners where allowed
to let off steam while doing "Dim-Chi-Sao" which my partner Sifu
Henrik from Copenhagen and I did enthusiastically. At the end of the first
day every one had his head full of ideas and exercices and got home with
a lot of inspiration. The long break in the afternoon and our dinner at
the restaurant gave opportunity to many exchanges of ideas about martial
arts and we could all get to know each other more. I got a feeling that
the people from Malmö were quiet open minded and interested in new
things.
I stayed in a wonderful youth hostel for the night.Sunday
23.11.2008On
the next morning I headed to the Wing Chun school together with Sifu Jonas
Evertsson who lives close to the youth hostel. The beautiful morning an
the fresh air immediately rose our desire for training. We used the short
walk to the school to exchange ideas about martial arts and arrived at our
destination just before the beginning of the seminar.
The program was marvelous again. Sigung talked about circling movements
in fights. It was wonderful that again one exercice flowed into another.
You could really get a feeling of Lau if your partner was up to the task.
I was very happy with the quality of training my partner, a student from
Malmö, allowed for. The energy he used when exercising was just right
and it was a pleasure to flow from one exercise into another. More and more
I got the impression that the trainig culture in the school of our hosts
enabled them to have a very instructive training in a relaxed atmosphere.
Again and again Sigung compared our daily life and the situation a fighter
finds himself in. Unbalance between the external speed of the world and
our internal speed leads to stress and a lot of pressure and deprives us
of our power. A good fighter always imposes his rhythm on his opponent.
We were all especially exalted when Sifu Henrik asked Sigung if he would
perform the hole Sap Yat Kuen for us. Having already mentioned Fa Kuen before
it was a good opportunity for Maria to perform the Fa Kuen which distinguishes
itself even more from Wing Chung by its complete body roations. Sigung explained
the importance and meaning of complete body rotations when fighting compared
to only half body rotations like in Sap Yat Kuen. During the breaks everybody
listened carefully to the stories Sigung told us about his time in Hong
Kong when he started our style while most people advised him against Weng
Chun and could not understand his love for the art. He told us about his
first meeting with Wai Yan, his time in Fatshan and some of the hurdles
he had to jump in order find a new home for our art in the world.
At the end of the Seminar Sigung expressed his wish that the seed of Weng
Chun that was sown during these two days would bear fruit. Our friends from
Copenhagen heartily invitet Sifu Henrik and the people from his school to
come over to Denmark to learn more about our art. The next seminar in London
at Sifu Bruces school was also announced and there was no doubt that many
Weng Chun friends would travel to London to support the seminar.Those
three days were simply fantastic and on my way back I spend a lot of time
thinking about what I had experienced. The many friendships that arose from
that journey are a special source of inspiration and motivation.
Denmark: Grandmaster
Andreas Hoffmann opened the new Headquarter 22nd of November 2008
Sifu Henrik´s dream come true: a big HQ for the denmark Weng Chun
family. He found a big nice place in the centre of copenhagen. It was a
former butchers place. Grandmaster Andreas Hoffmann was invited to purify
the new place with a shaolin chan ceremony and with an opening seminar.
Weng Chun friends from all over Denmark, from England, from Sweden and from
Germany supported the grand opening. During the ceremony everybody did good
wishes for the school, the teachers and the students. Finally Grandmaster
Andreas Hoffmann demonstrate the Saam Pai Fat, followed by Maria Grothe
with the double knives and Sifu Henrik with the Weng Chun Kuen. At the seminar
Grandmaster Andreas Hoffmann teached the internal aspects of the famous
chisao exercise connected with an explanation of the daoistic influence.

to Sveden began at 6:30 at Stuttgart airport. Via Berlin I first flew to
Copenhagen where Sigung and Maria arrived with a little delay at 14:30.
From there we went to the new Weng Chun HQ in Denmark the "Butchers
Lab". It is definitely a special school as one might guess when hearing
the name! The building had been a butchery in the past and is located in
an industrial area.The image of the flower, prospering an blossoming in
the mud, becomes alive through that school. Sifu Henrik of Copenhagen himself
often called his school an everything around a rough place. With joy and
pride he showed us around the big school with its different training rooms.
You immediately get a feeling of how important physical fitness and sparring
is for the danish. There are punshing bags, weights and other curious stuff
all over the place. As time went by more and more Weng Chun friends from
all over Denmark and also from London arrived and at 17:30 we started the
seminar with a ceremony. Sigung layed stress on the importance of extreme
compassion in a former place of violence and killing and emphasized the
purifying of the school through many good thoughts and wishes. Sifu Henrik
also expressed his wish to transform the school into a place that shines
to the outside and helps in changing the rough area into a more pleasant
place. After everyone had finished with the purifying process and had set
free his good wishes Sigung performed the Sam Pai Fut. That was something
really special for all of us to witness. Subsequent to Sigungs performance
Maria elated us with the Wo Dip Dao, the knife form she had performad at
the German Kung Fu championship an where she had made the first place.
We now went on to the practical part of the seminar. We trained Chi Sao
in different distances and I was pleased to train with Morten. The exercices
shown to us were allowing for an easy develepment of flow. Sigung explained
that it is important to always flow when fighting, never to be remain stiff
and that this is the reason why the term "technique" for us in
Weng Chun is not so important as it only reflects a small fraction of time
in a constant flow. At the end we discussed some possibilities that Weng
Chun gives us to create power. Sigung illustrated his image of the rocket:"Hip
goes backwards, power travels forward".
In order to end the day in a condign way after such an inspirering seminar
we went to a quite modern asian restaurant. Sifu Henrik from Sveden who
had invitet us for the next two days was also present with his companion.
After dinner me an Craig, a friend from London that I had met at the summercamp,
went through the streets of Copenhagen and finished the night in a pub tasting
some of the good danish beer.
Italy: Weng
Chun representative from Rom Fabio Ciolli won his third MMA
Congratulation goes to Fabio Ciolli for his K.O. victory in the first round.
His MMA record is 3-0-0, one submission two KO. The weng chun family celebrated
his victory worldwide. Fabio just opened his new school in Rom and his team
is very successfully in MMA and BJJ competitions.

Weng Chun Sifu Cesario, champion of the Ultimate glory 10
On the 9th of
November 'Ultimate glory 10' was held in the Rajnhal Sport Hall of Arnhem,
one of the biggest European Shooto events with more than 3 thousand spectators
and 54 fights.Sifu Cesario could be distingushed from the other fights with
his special style, Weng Chun.He fought against the pluri decorated Bulgarian
boxer-wrestler fighter, Natek Tomajev in a professional shooto match.The
fight was pretty intense, Sifu Cesario showed all his kung fu skill with
some very powerful punches and knock out knees, while on the ground he could
play with many submissions like, omoplata, kimura, and the arm-bar. In the
first round Sifu Cesario's opponent got saved by the bell from a gogolata,
and in the second round from a triangle choke. Sifu Cesario wants to thanks:
his teachers GM Andreas Hoffmann and GM Flavio Behring, his coaches and
good friends Roemer Trumpert and Siyar Bahadurzada (Shooto World champion),
for all they represent.

at the italian Vale Tudo Championship. He won against the former champion

chun long pole dummy in order to celebrating sifu Rittirong Konggann´s
10th anniversary of teaching:
Learn
from Grandmaster Andreas Hoffmann the former secret weng chun long pole
dummy form and its application with and without weapons. At the same time
let us celebrate Sifu Rittirong´s anniversary in his beautiful school
in Coburg, Germany. Sifu Rittirong Konggann is a personal student of GM
Andreas Hoffmann and also followed his Sifu to Hong kong to meet Weng Chun
GM Wai Yan. Furthermore he learned Yip Man Wing Chun from Sifu Cheng Kwong

Sifu
Andreas Steppan opens a new Weng Chun school in the centre of Göppingen,
a middle
size town in southern Germany. He invited his Sifu: Grandmaster Andreas
Hoffmann for this spezial event.
Sifu Andreas Steppan followed his Sifu since the eighties and he got directly
teaching in Weng Chun from GM Wai Yan
and GM Lau Chi Long. Furthermore he got lessons in Dragon Style Kung Fu
from GM Lam Wun Gong and Yip Man Wing Chun from Sifu Cheng Kwong. We wish
Sifu Andreas Steppan that he can build the bridge (Kiu) between east and
west. So we gratulate him for the opening and his choosen name for his school:

Wudang Grandmaster Fu Sheng Lung visit International Weng Chun HQ:

Fu Sheng Lung and GM Andreas Hoffmann are working and training together
over 20 years. GM Fu lives at the International Weng Chun HQ from October
third until October 16th 2007. He will give seminars in Tai Chi chuan and
Pakua. GM Fu and GM Hoffmann will show the beauty and effectivness of the
Internal styles and the simillarities and differences of Internal Wu Dang

GM Andreas Hoffmann November 2007 Seminar in London
We're
happy to announce the first ever seminar in London byl successor of Shaolin
Chi Sim Weng Chun sytem, the chief instructor for the International Weng
Chun Kung Fu Organisation Grand Master Andreas Hoffmann . The seminar will
be held at the London Chi Sim Weng Chun Academy in Camden on Saturday 10th
November from 11:00 - 17:00.
The main topic of the seminar is Fa Kuen (Flower Fist) form, Fa Kuen Chi
Sao, Fa Kuen Kiu Sao and Fa Kuen Sparring. For those who don't know what
Fa Kuen (Flower Fist) is. The flower is the symbol of the Sim (Chan/Zen)
philosophy and the body work of Weng Chun Kuen and Fa Kuen was made famous
by Grandmaster Chu Chung Man. This set teaches how to use the entire body
for both long and short distance fighting. In the Weng Chun family there
are different versions of Fa Kuen: short versions, long versions and even
different sets with the name Fa Kuen.

England:
„Riding
the Tiger“ - Weng Chun Summercamps 2007
Two
summercamps were held at the International Weng Chun HQ in Bamberg, Germany.
First summercamp was for middle level weng chun practitioners the second
one for advanced level.
The Weng Chun summercamps 2007 were themed „Riding the Tiger“
and were limited to 30 persons.
First Weng Chun summercamp:
At the
first summercamp 30 participants from Denmark and all part of Germany
came together in Bamberg to train Weng Chun, to learn, to exchange and gain
experience
and experience a grandiose week of training and living with GM Andreas
Hoffmann.
Every day the training was opened by the Weng Chun Qi Gong exercise „Ng
Chong Hei Gong“. It teaches the practitioner to connect the inner and
outer energy. After that there was a lot of form training, containing
all the basic moves followed by Weng Chun Chi Sau, the „sticky hands“
exercise, where it is more important for the student to feel and move on
pressure. There was also wooden dummy exercises and lots of training at
the sticking/kicking distance, with and without gloves. At the end of
day the training was completed with „open mat“ for free sparring.
All through the day experiences from the GM Andreas Hoffmann was shared
openly with his enthused students, as well as many explanations of the
shaolin path, the way of goodness and compassion and the history of
southern Shaolin
Second Weng Chun summercamp:
In the enlightened atmosphere of the International Weng Chun HQ of Bamberg,
last week GM Andreas Hoffmann, with the fantastic help of Simo Dagmar Hoffmann,
held one of the main events of the year: the advanced summercamp 2007.
30 participants from Denmark,
Italy and
Germany came together in the Weng Chun HQ.
The Weng Chun qi gong form, Ng Chong Hei Gong was for the first time taught
openly,
helping all the advanced Weng Chun practitioners present to be purified
through the Eternal Spring Art.
The study in Ng Chong Hei Gong also helped practitioners to understand the
fantastic healing
and fighting value of each form of Weng Chun.For
a small advanced Weng Chun fighting group,
GM Andreas Hoffmann could share is magnificant skill, teaching the most
advanced Chong Kuen form,
allowing every figher to feel the "two powers" of the form and
a connection
to the real training method of the Shaolin temple.A
significant present of Sifu and Simo Hoffmann

be the yearly summercamps in wonderful Bamberg, Germany. People from all

Shaolin Qigong seminar 23./24th of June 2007
Two days of buddhist Qigong at the HQ in Bamberg teached by Sifu Hoffmann.
Shaolin Qigong always start with "cleaning" thru the "Qi
shower" Sifu Hoffmann teached one traditionell standing form and one
traditionell sitting form of the ancient Qigong art from the Southern Shaolin
temple.

24th and 25th of March 2007 were two days of weng chun gathering at
the International Weng Chun HQ Bamberg, Germany. Over hundred weng chun
enthusiastic people from all over Germany came for seminars and examinations
with GM Andreas Hoffmann and Master Winfried Zenk.
The first ever Weng Chun seminar in Serbia (16th/17th/18thMarch2007):
Grandmaster Andreas Hoffmann introduced Weng Chun Kung Fu in more than
10 countries worldwide. Thru the invitation and organization from Wing Tsun
Sifu Zeljko Popovic the Grandmaster could introduce the beautiful and effective
"eternal Spring fist of Shaolin" frist time ever to Serbia. From
all over Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia and Rumänia martial arts teacher and
students joined the seminar to get a first hand impression about Weng Chun
by the Grandmaster. In extra seminars GM Andreas Hoffmann teached Brazilian
Jiu Jitsu and Fu style Tai Chi Chuan. In Palic, which is Wing Tsun Sifu
Popovic´s HQ, the Grandmaster gave private lessons to the martial
arts teacher. We wish that the weng chun seed grow in these new weng chun

Dan Brazilian Jiu Jitsu legend GM Flavio Behring teach in weng Chun World

Helio Gracie founded with his brother GM Carlos Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
They are 10th Dan in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Worldwide only about five people
are teaching with the 9th Dan. One of them is GM Falvio Behring who has
been in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since 60 years.
GM Flavio Behring 9th Dan and GM Helio Gracie 10th Dan
Since the year 2004 he is teaching BJJ in the HQ of Weng Chun several times a year. This time the Grand Master concentrates in his wonderful seminars on no gi techniques of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. According to GM Flavio Behring his teacher GM Helio Gracie teach a lot no Gi techniques because they had to fight often in Vale Tudo. Weng Chun Master Philipp Hackert well organized the seminar in Stuttgart. Before the seminar he showed his teachers his new school in the middle of Stuttgart. We congratulate Weng Chun Master Winfried Zenk and Weng Chun Sifu Cesario Di Domenico for their purple belts and 4 more students for their blue belts. In June Flavio Behring send one of his best black belt fighters Jhonny Gui for one month to the weng chun HQ and in September he will come back to Germany. It is a great honour for us to learn and work with the BJJ legend GM Flavio Behring!

Weng Chun Seminars in Napoli, Italy
In the beautiful atmosphere of the Italian Weng chun family, GM Andreas
Hoffmann held four days of seminars, private lessons and celebrations.
The first day started with private lessons for Sifu Massimo Fiorentini,
Fabio Sarnataro, Federico Greco and Flavio Greco. GM Hoffmann was guest
in weng chun temple school at Rama beach and in Napoli´s "Buddha
village". The second day started with the the group seminar.
Sifu Massimo Fiorentini organised the seminar with the help of Sifu Cesario
Di Domenico, Fabio Sarnato, Federico Greco and Flavio Greco. GM Andreas
Hoffmann was impressed by the growing italian weng chun family which shows
great weng chun skills. The topic of the seminars was the wooden dummy of
the weng chun kung fu and the application into chi sao and combat. "Live
and dead" dummy, "silent" dummy, history, wooden dummy hall
of shaolin and the connection to chan, sap yat kuen wooden dummy form, heaven
wooden dummy form, "bridging vs sticking" and much more topics
were teached and explained by GM Hoffmann in details. Italian
Boxing champion (1985) Carlo Baronti visit the seminar, shared his training
methods and strategy as a champion and get inspired by GM Hoffmann to start
his training in Weng Chun Kung Fu.

Weng Chun fight team won in the octagon again
My
student Sifu Cesario Di Domenico and my grand student Nicolas Penzer won
their free fights in the german octagon on Saturday 16th of December 2006.
Cesario won in 40 sec thru tap out and Nicolas in the first round referee
stoppage. Congratulation ! Well done. A big thank you also for Nicola´s
coach weng chun master Philipp Hackert. Soon you can see here more informations
